Rainbow Crochet Tutorial & Free Pattern

MATERIALS
- Crochet Hook 5.5mm
- Blue, Green, Ivory, Peach, Pink Fluffy Yarn
- 10mm Safety Eyes
- Fiberfill
- Scissors
- Stitch Markers and Needles
STITCHES
- st = stitch
- magic circle
- sc = single crochet
- inc = increase (two single crochet in one stitch)
- F/O = finish off
- sl st = slip stitch
PATTERN
Start with blue yarn.
When you start the magic circle leave a long tail because you are going to use it later for sewing.
R1: 24st in magic circle (24)
R2: *sc in the next st, inc* (36)
R3: *sc in the next 2st, inc* (48)
R4: *sc in the next 3st, inc* (60)
Change to green yarn.
R5: *sc in the next 4st, inc* (72)
R6: *sc in the next 5st, inc* (84)
R7: *sc in the next 6st, inc* (96)
R8: *sc in the next 7st, inc* (108)
Try not to close the gap of the magic circle.
Change to ivory yarn.
R9: sc around (108)
R10: *sc in the next 8st, inc* (120)
R11: *sc in the next 9st, inc* (132)

Change to peach yarn.
R13: sc around (132)

Change to pink yarn.

Sl st and F/O leaving a long tail for sewing.
Fold the rainbow in two and keep both the blue and the pink tail on one side. This way it will be easier to sew the gaps.
You can also cut all the remaining tails from the colour change. Just keep the blue and pink coloured tails. Also, try not to cut them too close to the stitches. Grab the blue tail and sew the bottom part of the rainbow.
After you sew the bottom hide the yarn tail into the rainbow. Grab the pink tail and start sewing the upper part of the rainbow. Stop in the middle and put fiberfill, stuffing firmly.
Place the safety eyes between the 3rd and 4th row of the green section.
When you finish the sewing and the stuffing of the rainbow, grab a black coloured yarn and embroider the mouth on the last row of the green section.
